Susanna has lectured in Western and Eastern Europe on waterbirth and midwifery. She taught
and worked at a birthing center in Berlin, Germany, and at the Berlin Hebamme School. Susanna
has also worked in Guatemala with native midwives as part of her training.
A pioneer in waterbirth in America, Susanna worked with the world pioneer of waterbirth, Igor
Charkowsky, in Moscow and the Black Sea. She is author of the definitive book on this practice,
"Waterbirth: A Midwife’s Perspective".
Currently Susanna is active in midwifery and doula work throughout Northern Californnia.
